October 16th through October 24th:

The
Friends of Texas Wildlife will hold our first, and only
fundraiser of 2009. This year's event will consist of a
"Pumpkin Patch", beginning October 16th and ending
October 24th with a special
event; "A Night in The Forest", with games, prizes and plenty of
food and refreshments. Come join us for loads of seasonal
family
fun, all while helping Texas Wildlife. To get more

The "Pumpkin Patch" will be held at
the W. Goodrich Jones State Forest. The 1,733 acre forest
is located on F.M.1488, approximately 1 mile west of 1-45,
or approximately 2 miles east of SH 242. Click

September 12:
Come
celebrate and meet members of
Friends of Texas Wildlife and other Community organizations
including CERT (Community Emergency Response Teams), TimberLakes
Volunteer Fire Dept with some emergency equipment for the all to
admire, "Child Shield" with free fingerprinting kits and, Dr.
Dustin Henderson of Living Well Chiropractic and the TimberLakes
TimberRidge Blockwatch at the 3rd Annual Timber Ridge
Association Back-2-School Festival from 10am until 2pm on
September 12.
This is our 3rd Annual
Back-2-School Festival sponsored by our neighborhood Blockwatch
Group. There are many events scheduled including: Games, Arts &
Craft Vendors, music, "Rahni" the Clown, raffles, drawings, fun
food, PaPa John's
Pizza, corn dogs, nachos, and drinks. We will
also have a huge Water Slide for kids of all ages, and a toddler
pool. The raffles are tremendous! With many chances
to win great prizes. We'll also have a free drawing for
one girl and one boy 15 and under to win a new bike.
The primary purpose of the
festival is to bring TR/TR neighbors together to learn and raise
funds for Blockwatch activities. The funds are used for
community lighting, light reflective addresses, security
programs, and other crime prevention efforts.
